The town emblem was adopted on Nov 3rd 1959 and the flag was adopted on Oct 25th 1990 by Notice No 8. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ミノ Mino of Minowa in a form of a ring = 輪 Wa. It represents a richness and a peace of the town. The green color stands for a peaceful image of the town surrounded by a beautiful nature all thru the year and the white color for creative and pure village people. The flag proportion is 7:10.
