The village emblem and the flag were adopted on Dec 20th 1969 by Notice No 20 and 21. The orange flag has a green village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized hiragana て Te of Tenryu. The inner circle symbolizes the villagers' concord and the Sun and the Sun like bright village. As a whole, the strongness represents a surge for the limitless future. The flag proportion is 2:3. The orange color stands for the bright sun, and the green color for natural mountains, rivers and a deep intelligence and a rational nature.
