The town emblem was adopted in Nov 1965 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a green town emblem fimbriated in white in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana マ Ma in a form of a crane and katakana ツ. The combination of both letters makes a form of a sacred torch which represents advancing town.
