The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Dec 2nd 1969 by Notice No 26. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized O of Oyama. It represents a green town surrounded by Mt.Fuji and other mountains and a vigor, a solidarity, a hope and a courage. The flag proportion is 2:3.
