The town emblem was adopted on Jun 1st 1958 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a black town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana ひ Hi of Higashiura. The figure 6 symbolizes six districts of the town and the upper triangle does the town image which makes a rapid progress. The circle stands for a peace and a concord.
