The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 1st 2005 by Notice No1. The white flag has a green and an orange two color city emblem in the center. The city emblem has a kabuto = samurai warrior helmet used  in Warring States period as the city has a historic background such as Nagashino Battlefield and Shitaragahara Battlefield. The green color stands for an abandunt natural environment and the orange color for the city’s bright future and the people's life with uplifting feeling. The flag proportion is 2:3.
