The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 5th 1974 by Notice No 27. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana タケ Take of Taketoyo. The horizontal bar symbolizes the town’s development and the two curve lines do a concord. As a whole, it represents an image of flying bird symbolizing  a bright future. The flag proportion is 2:3.
