The town emblem was adopted in 1965 but there is no flag law. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 川 Kawa and five stylized katakana エ E. The letter 川 symbolizes an image of the town people with their arms around each other and the letter エ does 工業= industry as a towns basic concept. It represents a development and a reconcillation of the town people.
