The city emblem was adopted on Apr 6th 1955 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a maroon city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana かめ Kame of Kameoka. It represents a development of the garden city and the merger of 16 former towns and villages. The curved lines symbolize a solidarity of the citizen and a progress in four directions.
