The city emblem was adopted on Mar 12th 2007 by Notice No 1 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a blue and a white two color city emblem in the
center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 木 Ki of Kizugawa. The blue color
stands for fresh streams of Kizugawa River, a cleanliness and an uplifting
feeling. It represents an image of the city which has been grown in the abandunt
nature to create its culture and makes a great leap forward by all the
citizen.

from 2007, part of the city of Kizugawa.
