The town emblem was adopted on Feb 1st 1973 by Notice No 2 and the flag was adopted on Oct 1st 1973 by Notice No 22. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 忠 Tada of Tadaoka in a form of a flying bird in the sea. The circle symbolizes a peaceful and an exponential development of the town with a cap of wave. The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 125/204 height of the flag.
