The town emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1962 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ハリマ Harima. The lower part symbolizes a seaport. It represents a wish for the town to flourish for ever from the seaport.
