The city emblem was adopted on May 1st 1956 but there is no flag law. The green flag has an orange color city emblem with a white fimbriation in the center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana アリ Ari and kanji 田 Da in a form of a local specialty orange fruit. The letter V behind the circle symbolizes orange leaves and a future development of the city.
