The town emblem was adopted in Sep 1964 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center and the kanji name of the prefecture and the town at the bottom part. The town emblem is a stylized I of Inami. The top of the emblem stands for a timber industry, the center space for an agriculture industry and the bottom part for a fishery industry. It represents a steady outlook in concord between the nature and the people.
