The town emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 1962 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a dark blue town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 高 Ko of Koya in a form of a tower. The tower stands for a history, the Sun and the moon for a development of the town administration. It represents an image of the town which owns a peace and a culture and prospers unlimitedly.
They use a dark blue but not black for the flag.
