The town emblem was adopted on Mar 1st 1962 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a green town emblem with a white fimbriation. The town emblem is a stylized katakana チ Chi of Chiezu and a cedar in a circle form. The umbonal triangle symbolizes a main industry forestry, the inside blank space does hiragana と To of Tottori. It represents a reconcillation of the town people and a peaceful development of the town.
