The city emblem was adopted on Mar 29th 1954 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana クラ Kura and kanji 吉 Yoshi. The circle symbolizes a peaceful reconcillation and a firm solidarity of the citizen. The center umbonal part represents a future development of the city.

The flag of former town of Sekigane was blue with mark. The town is now, from 2005, part of the city of Kurayoshi.
