The flag of the city of Soja is green with mark. The old one was purple with
same mark. Unfortunately, I do not have enough good images of emblems for merger
villages.

The city emblem was adopted on Mar 22nd 2005 but there is no flag law. The
green flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized
hiragana そ So of Soja. The upper part symbolizes Chigi , roof finials found at
both edge of Japanese Shinto shrine roof and Katsuogi , roof ornamentation and
the lower part does a conformity, a solidarity of the citizen, a peaceful city
administration and a steady development. The green color stands for a hope, a
progress, a sincerity and a prosperity.

The flag of the former village of Kiyone was green with mark. The village is
now, from 2005, part of the city of Soja.
