The town emblem was adopted on Nov 20th 1965 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is stylized katakana カミ and kanji 山 Yama. The letter カ in the center represents an image of the town surrounded by green mountains which unlimitedly opens up to the future. The three lines symbolize a bright and a livable town-building by the emotional town blessed with fresh stream of Akui River supported by an affinity of the town people.
