The town emblem was adopted on Aug 8th 2005 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue, a green and an orange three color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ミ Mi of Minami. The upper circle symbolize a vigor and a concentration power. The blue color stands for the waves, the green color for the ground and the orange color for the sun. It represents an image of the town which values an abandunt nature, the historic culture, and looks to the future , cooperates with and develops.
