The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 2004 by Notice No1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue and a green two color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized Y of Yoshinogawa. The four curved lines symbolize a saltation of the former four towns and village and the ridge line of Shikoku Mountains, the white space does River Yoshino. As a whole, it represents a harmony with the people and the nature and the city of dreams and hopes which makes a leap forward to the future. The blue color stands for a feeling of trust, a cleanliness, the green color for a comfort and a security.
