The town emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2005 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red and a blue two color town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized hiragana しろ Shiro of Shiroishi.
The circle symbolizes a concord of the town people and a great catch of fishes.
The red color stands for an abundance of Shiroishi Plain, the blue color for
pleasant Ariake Sea. It represents an image of the town of abundance in
which the people and the ground gain lots.
