The city emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2006 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green and a yellowish green two color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana う U of Ureshino in a form of a tea leaf and steam from hot spring. The circle symbolizes a diversity and a basic. As a whole, it represents the future hope of the residents.
