The town emblem was adopted in 1968 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ヒソ Hi So in a form of a flying bird. It represents the town making a leap forward based on a modern agriculture and a reconciliation and a solidarity of the town people of deep humanity.
