The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Jun 4th 2014 by Notice No 50 and No 51. The white flag has a red town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 日出 Hiji. The wings symbolize a flutter and the sunrise does the sun and a development of the town. The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 3/5 height of the flag.
