The flag of Amami city is white with symbol. The city was formed on 2006 from merger of city of Naze, town of Kasari and villige of Sumiyo.

The city emblem was adopted on Mar 20th 2006 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red, a blue and a light blue three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized A of Amami. The red circle symbolizes blessing sun. It represents an image of the citizen who lives together with an abandunt nature.

Naze City / 名瀬市

The flag of former city of Naze is white with mark. The city is now, from 2006, part of city of Amami.
