The town emblem was adopted on Aug 5th 2005 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green, a blue and an orange three color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylizrd hiragana き Ki of Kinko. The green color stands for Sakurajima Island, Satsuma Fuji = Mt.Kaimondake and the ground, the blue color for Kinko Bay and a blue sky and the orange color for the landscape of the town shown up on the sunset. It represents a reconciliation and a solidarity of the town administration and an image of the vigorously bright town which makes a leap forward ,developes and prospers.
