The village emblem was adopted on Aug 8th 1983 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green and a red village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized kanji 三 Mi of Mishima. The kanji 三 stands for three islands, the green outer circle for a harmony with rich nature, the red inner circle for a hot passion of the villagers.
