The Flag

The flag of Soo city is white with symbol. The city was founded on 2005 from merger of towns Osumi, Sueyoshi and Takarabe.

The city emblem was adopted on Oct 5th 2005 by Notice No 116 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green, a red and an orange three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana そ So of Soo in a form of a flower. It depicts the landscape of the city which has green streets,beautiful flowers and rich harvest. It represents an image of the developing city where the citizen collaborates, lives together and feels dynamic life in an abandunt nature.
