The town emblem was adopted in Sep 1957 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana せ Se of Setouchi. The left part of the circle symbolizes a main island, the right smaller part does Kakerojima Island. The center horizontal bar stands for the unification of the two islands. As a whole, it represents a conformity and a solidarity.
