&The village emblem and the flag were adopted on Dec 24th 1976. The bluish purple flag has a yellow village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized hiragana よみ Yomi of Yomitan. The circle stands for the village people’s cooperation, reconciliation and solidarity, the wing for the village’s exponential development and the white part for the village’s richness and progress. The flag proportion is 2166:3032. The diameter of the emblem is 130/216.6 height of the flag.
