Busia is a county in the former Western Province of Kenya.  It borders Kakamega County to the east, Bungoma County to the north, Lake Victoria and Siaya County to the south and Busia District in Uganda in the west.  Busia town is the administrative centre and is a major cross-border trading town.

Description of the flag

Image sent by Jens Pattke, 21 Apr 2014

The flag of Busia County has three equal horizontal stripes of light green, black and blue.  In the centre of the black stripe is the county logo (black on white) which is also found in the centre of the county Arms.  The logo features a stylised fence with an open gate which symbolises the importance of cross border trade in the local economy.
