Description of the flag

The county flag comprises three unequal horizontal stripes of olive green, white and black, fimbriated with thin red stripes.  The stripes curve at one third of the length of the flag such that the height of the green stripe is reduced and the black stripe becomes broader at the fly.  In the centre of the flag is the county shield superimposed on two spears in saltire, which is surmounted by an academic cap and below with a ribbon with the words COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF NANDI in black.
