Introduction

United Arab Shipping Co. was formed jointly in 1976 between Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The company is headquartered in Kuwait with a corporate office in the UAE. The company currently operates a fleet of 47 ships.

Description

Dark purple – red – white- very dark green – black horizontal stripes with narrow white stripes separating the dark colours and the central white stripe about 4x wider than the other stripes. In the center, extending further than the white stripe, a golden helm wheel charged with two brown crossed anchors, united by a chain, also brown.

The house flag of Kuwait Shipping is shown with a "K" instead of the "A", indicating that the Kuwait Shipping Co. might have predated the United Arab Shipping Co.
