Overview

The flag of Daugai town in Alytaus dsitrict, Alytus county is at <commons.wikimedia.org>.
Valentin Poposki, 8 March 2007

Daugai - on a blue field with a silver pale (blue-silver-blue 1-2-1) on a green hill an unmounted knight with halberd and Eastern shield, at his waist a small sword, knight's face and hands proper, armor blue, epaulette and tunic green, panache and decorations golden, staff of halberd black.
Flag proportions 10:11, free edges bordered with a golden stripe, finial is a golden knob.
The charge of arms granted in 1792 should symbolize the defense of town, of the whole country and of citizen rights. Also it is probably related to the knight of Trakai land. Slight ambiguity between the description and picture: pale is called white but shown silver (as the field of arms).
