Overview

Flag and coat of arms of Salantai (Klaipeda county - Klaipedos apskritis, Kretinga district - Kretingos rajonas). The flag is according to my personal observation from the flag show of Mindaugas coronation 750th anniversary. The coat of arms is drawn according to image from the book: The Heraldry of Lithuania.

Salantai - On a silver field upon green a three-hill a red rooster. Flag proportions 5:6, fringe is silver, finial is a golden tip, staff is white. The charge symbolizes both Gaidziu Kalnas ("Roosters Hill"), on which the town was established, and victory of light against darkness.
