Overview

Barzdai is a town in Sakiai district in Marijampole county, Lithuania. It has a population of 472 and is a center of Barzdai Eldership (seniunija), which has 1280 inhabitants.

Barzdai - on a green field with a wide white pale (green-white-green 1-3-1) the arms of Barzdai: on a book glowing a oil lamp.
Flag proportions 10:13, free edges bordered with a narrow red stripe, finial is a golden knob with two rings and golden bands.
The charge symbolizes the important input of this land to science and education of Lithuania, and in particular the merits in the distribution of prohibited (1864-1904) books in Lithuanian.
