Overview

Flag and coat of arms of Rokiskis city (Panevezys county - Panevezio apskritis). The flag and coat of arms are according to my personal observation.
Audrius Slapsinskas, 24 November 2003

Rokiskis - Field quartered: q.1 on red field silver candlestick, q.2 on golden field black bull, q.3 on blue field silver organ, q.4 on red field three silver down narrowing strips and above silver fleur-de-lys. Flag proportions 5:6, fringe is silver, finial is golden lance head with knob. Three of four charges come from the arms of different owners of Rokiskis manor: candlestick of dukes Krosinskis, bull of counts Tiesenhaus, three strips and fleur-de-lys of counts Przezdziecki. The organ symbolizes traditions of musical culture and in particular the Rokiskis musical school, which raised many famous Lithuanian musicians.
