Overview

Flag and coat of arms of aurage (Taurage county - Taurages apskritis, Taurage district - Taurages rajonas). The flag is drawn according to my personal observation from the flag show of Mindaugas coronation 750th anniversary. The coat of arms is drawn according to image from the book: The Heraldry of Lithuania.
Audrius Slapsinskas, 10 July 2003

Taurage - Field quartered red and white, on q.1 and q.4 silver horn. Flag proportions 10:13, fringe is silver, finial is a silver knob of 2 hemispheres with a ring. The charge is canting: the name of city originates from "tauro ragas", meaning in Lithuanian "horn of wild ox".
