Overview

Salcininkai (Salcininkai District) - on a red field three joined golden acorns, on a blue chief crossed golden and silver keys. Flag proportions 10:11, free edges bordered with a narrow silver stripe, finial is a golden knob. Three acorns symbolize several ethnic groups living together in harmony: traditionally Lithuanians, Poles and Tatars, in modern times also Belorussians and Russians. The keys attribute the local church of St. Peter and represent a border town.
