Flag: stripes red - white - blue, with along top, fly and bottom a fringe of 1/5 flag height in continuing stripes of red - white - blue, and on the central (wide) stripe a rectangle of wavy green and blue stripes and issuing from the second stripe a white swimming swan.
This flag is one of the oldest Holland flags which were internationally known. In several vexillological manuscripts it is even named as one of the variants of the national Dutch flag!

Other info:
Flag: stripes red-white-blue and on the white a blue rectangle  with a white swan floating on green waves; at 3 sides a border striped red-white-blue.
This waterschap covers the beautiful polder area immediately north  of Amsterdam. The name means in fact water-land! The flag is an ancient one, and originally that of the bailiwick of Waterland. As the flag is documented up till the 19th century, when the bailiwick was merged, it can be used by the waterschap, but this is not known for certain. Nowadays it is not in use. On the national colors occurs the swan from the arms of the area, which refers to the right of swan-keeping and swan-hunting (zwanejacht). The red-white-blue border was used by preference in many old Dutch flags.
