The Cyprus Olympic Committee (COC) (Greek: Κυπριακή Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή) was established in 1974 and in
1979 was recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Members of the
Committee are the 35 Federations, which elect the Executive Council composed of
the Chairman and 8 members. The COC organized the 1989
Games of the Small States
of Europe, and the 2009 games 20 years later.
Its flag is white with its emblem in the middle of the flag. Shield is charged
with Cypriot coat of arms, partially overlapped by Olympic rings. Country name
is placed over the Cypriot coat of arms with green archaic style letters.
