The Association des Voiliers en Polynésie (AVP) was founded on 4 February 1983 in Papeete, Tahiti, succeeding the Association des propriétaires de croiseurs d'Outumaoro, itself founded on 6 February 1981.
The burgee of AVP, presented on the association's website, is white with a blue border and two red triangles separated by a white horizontal stripe charged with the blue letters "AVP".

Yacht Club de Tahiti

The Yacht Club de Tahiti (YCT) is located in Arue, 5 km east of Papeete.

The burgee of YCT, as hoisted in the club house of the Yacht Club de Raiatea (photo), is in proportions 5:6, vertically divided 1:2, at hoist a blue stripe charged with the white letters "Y.C." (horizontal) / "TAHITI" (vertical), at fly horizontally divided red-white-red, the white stripe higher - 1/4 of the flag hoist -, recalling the Tahitian flag.
