Świdnica - urban commune, Świdnica County, Dolnośląskie Voivodship - former
German name: Schweidnitz; Czech name: Svednice.
The Law of the Commune (2003) describes the Arms as: "The shield
is divided into four fields. First and fourth fields feature a golden crown
on black. Second field shows a red griffin on a silver background, and
the third field - black a wild boar on silver."
On May 24, 2008, The City of Swidnica adopted a flag: "Red and white
chessboard with the Arms in the center".
