Milejów commune flag

Milejów - rural commune, Łęczna County, Lubelskie Voivodship.
Gmina Milejów is a rural gmina (commune) in Łęczna County, Lublin Voivodship, in eastern Poland. Its seat is the village of Milejów-Osada.
Area: 115.66 sq.km (44.7 sq.mi); Population: 9,256 (2006).

Basically, an agricultural commune; land under cultivation - 77%; forests - 14%.
Employment provided by the large food processing plant 'Fructo Maj'.
Soccer (football) team: KS "Tur".

Arms and flag adopted on June 22, 2004 (resolution # XVII/107/04).
Arms are the combined noble Coat of Armss - "Nalecz" and "Gozdawa" commemorating two benevolent and prominent in the area families - Rostworowskis and Kickis (one of the last ones - General Ludwik Kicki was a multiple hero of the Napoleonic wars and the November Uprising of 1830).
The flag mirrors the Arms.
Symbols of the commune were designed by Dr.Walery Pisarek, native son of the Commune.
