Presentation of Alfândega da Fé

"Alfândega da Fé" means literaly "Faith Toll" and apparently this is not referred to in the arms. Alfândega da Fé municipality had 5688 inhabitants in 2000, and it is divided in 12 communes, covering 332.0 km². It belongs to the Bragança District, to the traditional province and would be administrative region Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, and to the current NUT2/CCR region Norte.
