The flag is blue (light blue in my sources) with coat of arms centred.
Jorge Candeias, 9 Oct 1998
The coat of arms is 100% typical: 4-towered mural crown (town rank), scroll reading "CONCELHO DE BAIÃO" and shield. The shield is blue with a wide golden bordure according to my sources , and is charged with a bunch of grapes surrounded by a laurel all in the same colour as the bordure, below 3 silver-blue-silver wavy lines. The bordure is charged with 8 blue castles with port and windows in the same colour as the border, disposed as the castles of the portuguese coat of arms.
Meaning:
The wavy lines stand for the Douro river and the bunch of grapes for the wine produced there, but the castles and the laurel are mysteries to me.

Flag(?) and arms were approved on 20 January 1937.

Plain (monocoloured) Portuguese subnational flags are not allowed to have variations without arms: plain flags always carry the coat of arms.

Baião is a town located in the north of Portugal. It belongs to the district of Porto (Oporto), old province of Douro Litoral, future eventual region of Entre Douro e Minho. The municipality is small both in area and in population: nearly 22 000 inhabitants and covering 175.7 km², but has quite a good number of communes 14 (in 2013). It’s economy is, as far as I know, rural. This town is located on the border between two regions of known wines: Oporto and Vinho Verde and the municipality is limited to the south by the Douro river.
