About the Flag

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain green (though the name means "the white one") field.

Coat of arms

Shield Argent, base wavy of Azure and Argent, a garb of wheat ears Vert tied Gules between two fig leaves Vert, in central chief a fleur-de-lis Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black capitals: "BRANCA - CORUCHE".
Meaning:
The fleur de lis is an attribute of the patron saint Our Lady of Conception. The base wavy probably symbolizes the Sorraia River.
