It is a fairly typical Portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a background in yellow and red quarterly (town rank).

The arms are Azure on a fess Or an ornamental table top basket (açafate) filled with flowers Proper and in chief two palms Or per saltire and in base a pomegranate Proper between two pairs of wheat ears or all tied Gules. Mural crown argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA DE CONDEIXA-A-NOVA".

Condeixa-a-Nova municipality had 15 340 inhabitants in 2001, and it consists of 10 communes, covering 141,16 km2. It is part of Coimbra District, traditional province and 1999 ref. adm. region Beira Litoral, C.C.R. / NUTS II Centro, and NUTS III Baixo Mondego.
