It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field (village rank).

The arms are Argent a gateway Sable masoned Argent with gate Azure reinforced Argent and on a craggy hill Vert issuant from base two plates set in fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "LAMAS - CADAVAL".
Meaning:
"Lamas" means "muds", no reflexion of that on the arms.

Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Cadaval Municipality (q.v.); it had 3156 inhabitants in 2001 and covered 37.5 km².

Shield Azure, a triple mount issuant Or, in centre a millwheel Or rigged Argent, flanked by grapevine Or leaved of the same in dexter chief and a pear Or leaved of the same in sinister chief. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals: "FREGUESIA DO CERCAL"
